Hayley is in the doghouse

It’s not often that actress Hayley Atwell is called a “cow” in public but she got a ticking off at the BFI last night from Charlie Brooker, who has written her latest drama in Channel 4’s Black Mirror series.

Atwell was discussing her role as a grieving wife who buys a robot version of her dead husband that replicates him based on his social media messages and bemoaned the editing out of what she regarded as two key scenes. However, she wondered if she was being “unprofessional” in talking about it in public. Brooker admonished her with mock incredulity:

“I think they balanced it out nicely… you cow. Jesus Christ!”
