Ronson’s shirt shines brighter than the torch

When the Olympics are in town, kings and queens come out to play.

Warner Music hosted a pre-Olympics party last night at the new Tanks art space at Tate Modern, attended by guests such as soprano Katherine Jenkins, pictured right, Lord Rothschild and Queen Noor of Jordan, while colourfully decked- out DJ Mark Ronson, above, found time to bond with the Olympic flame while on the decks.

Chef Tom Aikens, meanwhile, was still reeling from his day as an Olympic torch-bearer. “I ran with the torch today over Chelsea Bridge,” he told me. “It was amazing. It’s three minutes of your life but I was really nervous beforehand with everyone watching. I’v e already bought my torch. I’ve got it at home.”
