Tech & Science Daily: Why Amazon will ban Visa credit cards after Christmas

If you’re an Amazon customer in the United Kingdom, you’ll not be able to use your Visa credit card after the New Year amid a row between the e-retailer and the credit card giant.

Amazon emailed customers on Wednesday morning to let them know the ban would be imposed from 19 January.

We speak to the Standard’s City Editor Oscar Williams-Grut for more.

The nominees have been released for the Oscars of gaming, the Game Awards, which celebrates this year’s biggest titles.

An awards ceremony will take place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on 9 December.
