Commuters faced travel chaos after signal failures on the Bakerloo Line caused severe rush hour delays and closures.

Parts of the line were down for more than two hours following the the technical problem at Lambeth North just after 6am on Monday.

And by 8am, signal failures had been reported at Wembley Park, Stonebridge Park and Willesden Junction, causing delays on the whole line.

The Bakerloo Line Twitter account reported at 10.30am that there was no service between Harrow & Wealdstone and Stonebridge Park, and severe delays up to Queen's Park.

One frustrated commuter Tweeted a picture of an emtpy train and wrote: "Monday morning humour from @bakerlooline today. Empty train that we're not allowed to board. Train delays. People going nowhere. You suck!!"

Tickets are being accepted on buses.
