A cyclist who was seriously injured in a road collision in Hackney last month later died in hospital, police have said.
The crash happened at roughly 7.40pm on Sunday September 10 on Kenworthy Road, Homerton.
The man, who was 27, was taken to hospital in a critical condition but died two days later. Six people have now died cycling in London in 2023, five of them in vehicle collisions.
He has not been named. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The Met police said the cyclist was stuck by a car which then collided with another vehicle.
The car driver – a 24-year-old woman – was arrested on suspicion of causing GBH by dangerous driving.
She has been bailed pending further inquiries until a date in early December.
Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue to appeal to any people who witnessed the collision, or any road users with camera footage, to come forward.

The fatality was the fifth of six cycle deaths in the capital last year. The most recent was the death of a woman in Hackney in a suspected hit-and-run offence.
Cycle campaigners are to protest at Hackney Town Hall in a fortnight in the wake of the two cyclist fatalities in the borough.
Garmon ap Garth, co-ordinator of Hackney Cycling Campaign, said: We are saddened to receive confirmation that the cyclist has died, the second confirmed death in Hackney last month.
“We will be holding a protest on Wednesday October 18 at Hackney Town Hall to highlight the dangerous conditions on too many of Hackney’s roads.
“Earlier this year, local residents met TfL to highlight the inadequate provision for pedestrians and cyclists on Kenworthy Road, aiming to prevent tragic incidents such as the one which led to this young man’s death. We call on TfL to implement improvements urgently.”
In the latest incident, a woman cyclist in her 30s was seriously injured in a crash involving a lorry on Grosvenor Road, Chelsea - part of the Thames Embankment and near Chelsea bridge.
The collision happened shortly before 9am on Tuesday, near the junction with Chelsea Bridge Road.
The Met police said on Tuesday night that she was in a “critical condition” in hospital. It said the lorry driver stopped and was assisting police with inquiries – there has been no arrest.
