One of the stars of fantasy epic Game of Thrones, Richard Madden, has been the target of abuse on a website attacking men for taking up too much space on the Tube.

Madden has come under attack by hundreds of people for sitting on a London Underground train with his legs spread too far apart.

A photo of the actor was posted up on the website “men taking up 2much space on the train”.

More than 520 people have posted comments on the site since the picture was uploaded.

Criticised: Madden, with girlfriend Jenna-Louise Coleman

One wrote: “Castrate him. Maybe it would free up some of the space his c*** is desperately trying to take up.”

Another wrote: “Oh look who it is. Richard, why are you’re [sic] legs so damn far apart.” One posted: “Rude.”

Referring to his on-screen role, one comment read: “Oh man, Robb Stark is a subway leg-spreader?” Another wrote: “Wow Robb maybe if you’d just been a bit more gracious on the subway your family would still be alive.”

But some defended the 27-year-old Scottish actor, whose girlfriend is Dr Who star Jenna-Louise Coleman.

“The King in the North can take as much room on the subway as he damn pleases!” one wrote.

Another said: “Ok he’s allowed to take up space on the train because he’s Robb f***ing Stark.”
