Victoria Station has reopened after being closed and evacuated due to a suspect package.

Although services are set to resume, severe delays are expected.

National Rail enquires have predicted disruption lasting up to an hour, but Southern Rail have put the figure at at least two hours.

British Transport Police officers were called to the station after a suspicious item was found in the left luggage area.

The item was examined and deemed to be non-suspicious and the station was reopened at around 6:30pm.

The situation was made worse when London Bridge Station was also closed at 5:30PM due to a fire alert.

Firefighters attended the scene and the station was reopened at around 6:00PM.
