A young girl has been taken to hospital after falling between a Tube train and the platform at a central London station.
The three-year-old was injured in the incident at Baker Street Underground Station on Tuesday afternoon, according to reports.
An internal report into the incident, apparently seen by the Press Association, said the girl fell between the gap on platform 2 and was helped onto the platform by other passengers and subsequently assisted by station staff.
The child sustained a bruise to her forehead after her head hit the metal foot plate of the train.
She was taken to hospital for a check-up and was said to be in good spirits.
Tuesday's was the second accident on a Tube platform in a week after a woman was dragged under a train Clapham South after her coat got caught on Thursday.
She was eventually freed by firefighters, who used specialist equipment to lift up the train carriage. She escaped with just a broken arm and black eye.
Commenting of today’s incident, Mick Cash, leader of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT), said: "This is a shocking incident and RMT is awaiting the outcome of the investigations by the Office for Rail Regulation.
"However, once again, RMT warned that there were dangerous gaps between the platforms and the trains with this rolling stock.
"This incident again exposes the lethal nonsense of cutting station staff on the underground network."
