The BBC is holding talks with staff over concerns about new pension proposals, it has been reported.
The Sunday Express reported that some employees were considering disrupting the coverage of key events such as the Pope's visit, in response to plans to change the pension scheme.
Pope Benedict will make his first state visit to the UK in September.
The paper claimed disgruntled staff were considering boycotting the Papal visit and a number of live broadcasts including The Last Night Of The Proms.
A BBC spokeswoman said that the Corporation was holding a series of face to face sessions with staff to listen to concerns regarding the pension scheme proposals.
The BBC is also planning a live-phone in and TV programme during the consultation period.
The spokeswoman said: "We continue to believe that the proposals we are making will deliver a pension scheme that is sustainable, affordable and flexible for BBC staff and the licence fee payer.
"We know that staff have concerns about the proposed changes but we will continue to listen and try to address these during the 90-day consultation period."
