Driver and two children miraculously escape unhurt from crash which split car clean in two

A driver and his two children passengers miraculously escaped unscathed after this crash which sheared front end clean off a car.

The man and two children were said to have 'a couple of minor scratches' after the crask near Coventry yesterday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Fletchamstead Highway just before 11.40am.

Two ambulance crews and a paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man and both children got out of the vehicle and, other than a couple of minor scratches, were uninjured.

“Because of the level of damage to the car, all three were taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further checks, just as a precaution.”
