The mother of a 15-year-old boy gunned down in a gangland-style execution has told his killer: "You can run but you cannot hide."
Jessie James was blasted to death while riding his bike through a park in Moss Side, Manchester, exactly three years ago.
On the third anniversary of her son's murder Barbara Reid made a direct appeal to his killer.
"Gunman, you can run but you cannot hide," she said.
"What is done in secret will come to light. You are a marked man in the eyes of God and your fingers are stained with the blood of my son, Jessie James.
"Do the right thing."
Her son was shot three times in the early hours of Saturday, September 9, 2006, in Broadfield Park, known locally as Rec Park in the Moss Side district of south Manchester.
Police have said he may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time.
A £50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of his killers has been offered but the gunman is still at a large.
Temporary Detective Chief Superintendent Jane Antrobus, Senior Investigating Officer for the murder, said: "Jessie's family deserve to see the person responsible for his death brought before the courts.
