A UK ticketholder won more than £171million in the National Lottery EuroMillions draw on Friday evening.

The winner has scooped a total prize of £171,815,297.80 with the winning numbers of 14, 15, 22, 35 and 48. The Lucky Stars were 03 and 08.

The £171million prize is the third biggest EuroMillions win of all time and the sixth British jackpot this year.

The largest was £195million, won by a an anonymous UK ticketholder in July.

In May, Joe and Jess Thwaite, from Gloucestershire, won £184million.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: “What an amazing night for one UK ticket-holder who has scooped the giant £171 million EuroMillions jackpot.

“This winner has just become the third biggest National Lottery winner of all time and the sixth UK EuroMillions jackpot winner this year alone.

“Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner.”

Earlier this month a British ticket holder took home a £110million EuroMillions jackpot. The huge sum reportedly makes them richer than former boyband stars Harry Styles and Gary Barlow.
