1/10

Monuments from around the world have been lit up in the colours of the Union flag in tribute to the victims of the Manchester bombing.

Some landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower and Empire State Building, were also shrouded in darkness as the world united in mourning the 22 victims of the attack at the Manchester Arena on Monday night.

Children were among those killed when suicide bomber Salman Abedi blew himself up among crowds leaving an Ariana Grande concert.

The Burj Khalifa in Dubia was spectacularly lit up in red, white and blue, as was Belfast’s City Hall and Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate.

Similar tributes were paid in the United Arab Emirates and Canada.
