Teenager charged over shot girl

An 18-year-old has been charged over the shooting of five-year-old Thusha Kamaleswaran

An 18-year-old youth has been charged with two counts of attempted murder following the shooting of five-year-old Thusha Kamaleswaran.

Kazeem Kolawoli was charged following the shooting of Thusha and 35-year-old Roshan Selvakumar in Stockwell, south London, last Tuesday.

Kolawoli is due to appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

A second man has been remanded in custody charged with two counts of attempted murder following the double shooting.

Anthony McCalla, 19, of Oakdale Road, Streatham, south London, will next appear at the Old Bailey on June 10.

He appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Saturday charged with shooting the little girl and bystander Mr Selvakumar.

Last week, Thusha's mother urged people to help the police and save another family from suffering.
