Knickers the giant cow! Australians marvel at huge cow that stands over 6 feet tall and weighs more than a car

Megan White28 November 2018

A cow which stands over six feet tall could be Australia's biggest, weighing in at 1.4 tonnes or more than a small car.

Knickers, a seven-year-old Holstein Friesian steer, is almost twice the size of the rest of the herd in Myalup, Western Australia.

His owner, cattle farmer Geoff Pearson, told Perth Now that Knickers' size could save his life, as he is too big to process at an abattoir.

He said: "It was too heavy. I wouldn’t be able to put it through a processing facility.

"So I think it will just live happily ever after."

Knickers cost his owners £226 ($400), and they bought him as a 'coach' to take charge of the herd.

Guinness World Records said the tallest steer on the planet is a 6ft6 Chianina ox named Bellino.
