A writer has sparked hilarity by suggesting a bizarre predictive text game to help people invent goals for 2019.

Alex Zalben asked his Twitter followers to predict the year ahead by typing “In 2019 I am going to” before hitting the space bar to complete the sentence.

It went viral after prompting hilarious responses from his followers.

One person tweeted: "In 2019 I am going to see the dentist. 2019 is not going to be a lot of fun I guess.”

Another said: “In 2019 I am go to the gym... yeah we all know that ain’t happening.”

“In 2019 I am going to have a great day and a time for that. Now I just have to figure out which day it will be,” another added.

Sam B commented: “In 2019 I am going to be insane...Yikes, hope not.”

Chuck G was surprised when the game revealed: "In 2019 I am going to jail. Uhh..I don't think I like this game. Can I get a do-over?"
