A British passenger has died and nine others were injured when a bus they were travelling in crashed in the Carribean.

The passengers, who were on a P&O cruise holiday, had taken a day trip to the island of Dominica when the mini-bus hit another car.

P&O confirmed that all the injured passengers were British.

They were rushed to a local hospital and the majority have now been discharged, a spokesman said.

In a statement the company said: "P&O Cruises regrets to confirm that a bus operated by a shore excursion provider was involved in a collision in Dominica on Wednesday lunchtime.
