Cold welcome for Pippa Middleton and new husband James in Sydney

Pippa Middleton and her husband have landed in Sydney for the next leg of their honeymoon.

After a holiday in French Polynesia Pippa and James Matthews were probably surprised by the cold snap which hit Sydney Harbour as they strolled along the foreshore.

The city is having its coldest winter days in almost 20 years, with lows of around 11C.

Pippa wore an above-the-knee black and white dress with a black cardigan but her husband was more prepared, in a blue sweater and jeans and carrying a parka.

The pair, who are believed to be staying at a five-star hotel near Sydney Harbour Bridge, boarded a water taxi to cross the harbour.

There is speculation the couple might head to New Zealand next.
