To the rescue: Prince Harry playing at Sentebale Royal Cup charity polo match in Campinas, Brazil
2 April 2012

A polo player today told how Prince Harry rushed to his aid after he was knocked unconscious during a match.

Bash Kazi was thrown from his horse after a dramatic collision in the charity game in Brazil.

The prince was first to the rescue, putting the American businessman in the recovery position and possibly saving his life.

Mr Kazi said: “Prince Harry was the first one off his horse, doing the right thing, turning me over to make sure I regained consciousness.” He called the prince “such a gentleman” for helping him and added: “I remember waking up with these piercing blue eyes looking at me.”

Mr Kazi, 41, taking part in the match organised by Apache helicopter pilot Prince Harry, had mild concussion and was given the all-clear by doctors.
