Magazine workers killed in Charlie Hebdo shooting named by police

Four victims of the massacre at a magazine office in Paris were named today as the publication's cartoonists and senior editorial staff.

Police confirmed artists Charb, Cabu, Wolinski et Tignou were all killed in today's attack.

Stephane Charbonnier, known as 'Charb' was listed as the magazine's publication director and Cabu its artistic director.

Mr Charbonnier was editor in chief of the magazine when it was targeted in a 2011 arson attack after running a magazine cover of the Prophet Mohammed as a cartoon character.

He was included in a 2013 Wanted Dead or Alive for Crimes Against Islam article published by Inspire, the terrorist propaganda magazine published by Al Qaeda.

Cartoonist Jean Cabu was also confirmed to be among the casualties. Bernard 'Tignou'Verlhac and George Wolinski were also killed.

A survivor of the massacre was reported to have confirmed the four were among 12 people killed today.
