Police are warning students at a US college to lock their doors after reports a man is breaking into homes and tickling his victim’s feet.

The man, who has been dubbed the Boston Tickler, sometimes watches the students sleeping or peeps at them through their windows while masturbating.

There have been ten sightings of the pervert around Boston’s Brighton area, where a large number of students at Boston College live off campus.

At least three students reported having a run-in with him on the same night, according to the New York Post. However, no items were taken by the intruder.

Boston College junior Teddy Raddell told Boston.com he was woken up from sleep at 5am last October by the sound of someone running down the stairs of his house.

He said: “I thought my roommate had fallen down the steps. But then he started yelling. I got up and he said that he had woken up to someone touching his feet.”

Victims described the trespasser as a 5’ 7” black man and wearing dark clothing, with a hoodie.

Police have dismissed claims the Boston Tickler is an urban-myth.

Boston Police Sergeant Michael O’Hara told the New York Post: “Absolutely students should be concerned.

“You don’t know what this guy is going to do or if he has a weapon. You need to lock your doors. It’s not as safe as you think.”
