Driver sought after pedestrian hurt

Police have been hunting a driver who failed to stop after a man sustained life threatening injuries in a road accident.

The 69-year-old pedestrian was hurt in a collision with a vehicle at the junction of Darbys Lane and Heath Avenue in Poole, Dorset, between 7.15 and 7.30 last night.

Police urged the driver to come forward and appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

They have no information on the vehicle at this stage.
