Cup agony for Arundel

Joe Arundel, left, fractured his hand in Hull FC's clash against Salford
21 August 2013

Hull centre Joe Arundel is set to miss the Challenge Cup final against Wigan because of a hand injury.

The former Castleford man sustained the problem in last week's win over Salford, but had not been officially ruled out by the injury-hit Black and Whites.

However, a Tweet from the 21-year-old read: "To all people asking I fractured my hand Friday and will be getting an op today to fix it. Thanks for all the support! #Gutted"

Coach Peter Gentle is sweating on the fitness of winger Tom Lineham and centre Kirk Yeaman, with Shannon McDonnell and Ben Galea definitely ruled out.

The same was thought of centre Ben Crooks but his leg injury appears to have cleared up sufficiently for him to now be considered an outside chance for selection.
