Murray fit to defend Queen's title

Andy Murray practised at Queen's on Saturday and confirmed he will defend his title at the pre-Wimbledon tournament, allaying fears over a back injury.

Murray said he was looking forward to starting his grass-court tennis season in the AEGON Championships following his French Open quarter-final defeat to David Ferrer.

"It's great to be back on the grass at the Queen's Club and I'm looking forward to the AEGON Championships next week," said the world number four.

"It's meant a lot to win the title two out of the last three years and to do well here is always the best possible preparation for me in the lead-up to Wimbledon."

However, Juan Martin Del Potro has been forced to withdraw from the tournament because of a knee injury.

He said: "I am very disappointed not to be able to play in the AEGON Championships this year, but unfortunately I am not going to be fit enough.

"It is a fantastic event and I wish everyone there a successful tournament. I hope to be back again next year."
