Amy Winehouse ran into the arms of her dad Mitch after an extraordinary bust-up with photographers.

It happened as she left her north London home yesterday. The singer, who had left hospital on Monday after treatment for a chest infection, looked grim and unwell, with make-up smeared across her face.

She lunged at one photographer, shouting: "Who's first? Who wants some?"

A photographer who suffered a cut head and smashed glasses is said to be considering pressing charges. Amy's spokesman said today: "She came out of her home and was faced with millions of people she wasn't expecting and she lost her temper."

A few hours later her father, cab driver Mitch, turned up at her flat and ordered a pizza for them.

Winehouse, 25, later came out looking happier having showered and changed - for once without her eyeliner. Her father shepherded her into a taxi with a friend.

The incident came the day Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, was released from jail in Suffolk - to enter rehab. He said: "I'm gonna see my wife and take her knickers down."
