Antony Gormley: Clearing

A major new installation by the Turner Prize winner responsible for the controversial 'Angel Of The North' and the eerie 'European Field'.

This latest is billed as a new departure: he has previously taken a cast of his own body as his starting point, but in the main gallery, you'll find some seven kilometres of raw metal rod, arcing from floor to ceiling, wall to wall, and describing the room's volume by simultaneously holding the space and yielding to it.

Elsewhere you'll find a trio of human forms crouching, lying and standing, each built from individual cubes of steel.

Wed 21 Apr-Thur 29 May, White Cube, 48 Hoxton Square, N1 (020-7930 5373).
