Adele 'uses doctor to quarantine crew members' over ill health fears on tour

Adele has revealed she hired a doctor to tell her who she can and can’t talk to on tour to ensure she doesn’t get ill.

The 28-year-old singer was forced to cancel a date in Phoenix, Arizona last month after she caught a cold, so has taken precautions to ensure she never has to miss another gig.

According to The Sun newspaper she told concert-goers in Michigan that members of her team are given badges to show that they are in god health.

She reportedly said: “I had to cancel a show on the last leg of my tour in Phoenix, Arizona and I’ve actually never been so devastated in my life.

“We have a doctor that comes in once a week that comes in and everyone gets a badge so I know I can go up to them and talk to them.

“So everyone gets a badge and if they’ve got a badge it means I know I ncan go up to them and be like, ‘Hi, how are you?’ and touch them. If they don’t have a badge, you are quarantined.”

Adele posted a video message in August to break the news to fans that a cold had forced her to cancel her second date in Phoenix.

The Someone Like You singer said the virus had got the better of her after she pushed herself too hard to continue with her mammoth tour.

Speaking into the camera she said: “I’ve been trying to sing all morning and warming up and nothing is happening. I’m so sorry.

"It’s the last thing I want to do but I have to look after myself.

“I will reschedule this show I promise you and I will come back and smash it for you. Have a wonderful evening without me.”
