Trolls attacked the singer Adele with online death threats and taunts about her new baby just minutes after she confirmed the birth.

They also suggested on Twitter that the 24-year-old would have material for new songs from post-natal depression.

Adele is understood not to have reported the matter to Sussex Police, while one troll showed apparent remorse after a backlash.

Today, the user @PerfFemale, who has nearly 4,000 followers, wrote: “I apologize to @OfficialAdele ilove her and im sorry..im deleting my twitter and im never coming back..bye.”
