Amanda Holden flashed a questionable new tattoo on her upper thigh – of Simon Cowell’s face.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 44, lifted up her plunging Gucci dress to display the fake inking of her fellow reality show judge Cowell, 55, during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

Holden – who has been a judge on the ITV talent contest since it began in 2007 – was joined on the sofa by Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, 35, Carey Mulligan, 29 - who was on the show to promote her latest film Far From The Madding Crowd – and singer Jessie Ware, 30, who performed.

Last week Holden was left shocked after Cowell announced the news that Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will be replacing her on Britain’s Got Talent.

The call was part of a prank for the Call or Delete feature on Nick Grimshaw's Radio One Breakfast Show.

The X Factor judge phoned Holden to tell her that he wants to shake up the judging panel by replacing Holden with the former Girls Aloud singer on Tuesday and Thursday nights during the live shows.

Clearly stumped as to what to say, Holden asked: “Are you joking?”

The father-of-one then joked that the decision “wouldn’t affect her financially” before adding fuel to the fire and explaining: “Look she’s younger and because she’s a singer she’ll bring in a different audience.”

Despite remaining calm, Holden was not happy with Cowell’s idea to have her watch the show at home on the days that she is not working and take notes.

Following his admission that she was being pranked, Holden declared: "I need a gin."

The Graham Norton Show will be broadcast tonight on BBC One at 10:35pm.
