Amber Heard has dropped her defamation lawsuit against Doug Stanhope.

The A-list actress filed a suit against the comedian after he penned an open letter of support for his friend Johnny Depp, alleging that Heard had fabricated claims against him.

But since the 30-year-old has settled her divorce case with the actor, she has also decided to drop the lawsuit against Stanhope.

“Amber is moving on, getting back to work and leading a normal, happy life,” a rep for the actress told TMZ.

Stanhope took the decision to publically defend Depp just days after Heard accused him of domestic abuse, alleging that Heard wasn’t being truthful in an essay on The Wrap.

Heard quickly retaliated with a defamation suit, stating that Stanhope’s essay was ‘completely false and defamatory’.

The US actress has donated her entire $7 million divorce settlement from Depp to charity sharing the sum between the ACLU and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Insisting that money played ‘no role’ for her in the case against the A-list actor, Heard said in a statement last month:

“As described in the restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves.

“As reported in the media, the amount received in the divorce was $7 million and $7 million is being donated. This is over and above any funds that I have given away in the past and will continue to give away in the future. “
