BRAZILIAN CARNIVAL

To celebrate the launch of its Brasil Brasiliero season, Sadler's Wells is putting on a free street-party this weekend.

A Rio-style carnival procession will take to the streets, featuring giant puppets, floats, live baterias, and 400 samba dancers in full carnival costume.

There'll be demonstrations of Capoeira and other Brazilian dance, a samba band and Big Samba class, plus a Brazilian crafts and food market and the event will culminate in a Brazilian street party.

Sadler's Wells, Roseberry Avenue, EC1, Saturday 2-6.30pm. Visit www.sadlerswells.com
