Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he would consider playing Harry Potter again should a movie be made of The Cursed Child.

Radcliffe, 27, said he hasn’t turned his back on the boy wizard – but said it is too early to talk properly about a film version of the hit West End show.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain about resuming the role of an adult Potter he said: “I’m not sure that’s a long way off. I really don’t know.

“It’s highly theoretical talk but if it was to ever become more than theoretical I would of course think about it.”

The Cursed Child is set 19 years after J. K. Rowling's final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It follows Potter in his mid-thirties with three children as an employee of the Ministry of Magic.

Rowling recently shut down any hopes of a film version of The Cursed Child with Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in the lead roles.

Tweeting her fans she said: “I know a lot of people are looking for reasons to be cheerful today, but there is NO TRUTH to the rumour about a #CursedChild movie trilogy!”

Radcliffe was on Good Morning Britain to talk about his new play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead alongside Joshua McGuire.
