It clearly wasn't part of God's plan for Drake and Heidi Klum to be together.

The supermodel revealed the Canadian rapper once asked her out on a date and she ghosted him.

Klum recalled the incident while discussing her relationship with beau Tom Kaulitz on the Ellen Degeneres Show.

Klum thanked the host for “putting it out in the universe” after she met Kaulitz on the same day she last appeared on the show.

Speaking about other flames that never quite took off, she told how Drake reached out to her after her February appearance on the chat show.

The 45-year-old said: “You snooze you lose. He called, like, a week too late.

"Someone who I know knows him and he asked to have my number and then he texted me. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is so weird!’ but then I never texted him back because I found the love of my life.

"Like, what do you say? You want to go out? And I’m like, ‘No.’ It’s better not to say anything. I’m embarrassed about it.”

The Project Runway host then took the opportunity to apologise to the Hotline Bling rapper.

She said: "Drake, I’m sorry I didn’t text you back.”

Gushing over her current relationship, Klum recalled bumping into Kaulitz at a party.

She said: “I went to the birthday party and there he was! It was to the point so bad when I couldn’t even look at him.

“You know when you’re attracted to someone so badly you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t even look at him’. So, I had to sit next to him instead of across because then I would have had to look at him.”
