Emily Atack has opened up about the awkward process of filming sex scenes - including that infamous Inbetweeners moment.

Speaking to Keith Lemon on his new ITV2 show Shopping with Keith Lemon, the I’m A Celebrity runner-up revealed that her male co-stars often apologise to her before filming begins.

“I don’t mind doing scenes like that at all, you just get to lie in bed all day with a nice boy, it’s great,” the actress revealed.

Staying true to his outrageous on-screen persona, Lemon then asked Her: “But what happens if the boy gets a happy on?”

“Well do you know what they say, the men, when you’re about to do a sex scene, they go, ‘Look, I’m sorry if it happens and I’m sorry if it doesn’t,’” she revealed.

“Because they don’t want you to be offended if it doesn’t happy, because I would be f****** livid.”

Lemon then pressed her as to whether this had happened with any of the stars of the Inbetweeners, prompting Atack to reply in the affirmative.

The star appeared on the hit E4 comedy between 2008 and 2010 and played Charlotte Hinchliffe, a love interest for lead character Will McKenzie (Simon Bird).

Their most memorable episode featured a very awkward scene which saw Will attempt to lose his virginity to Charlotte.

Lemon’s new chat show with a twist sees him head off on shopping trips with a series of celebrities.

Last week’s opening episode saw him explore the aisles with comedian Jimmy Carr and Spice Girls star Mel B.

Shopping with Keith Lemon airs on ITV2 on Thursdays at 10pm
