Emma Bunton has teased a possible Brexit concert for the Spice Girls reunion.

Speaking to Jamie Theakston on her Heart radio show, Bunton hinted at possible upcoming projects.

Theakston said: “I want you guys on the roof of Buckingham Palace, waving that Union Jack. Some sort of Brexit concert, I don’t know.

“Wouldn’t that be awesome?”

Susanna Reid accuses Geri Horner of throwing ‘shade’ at the Spice Girls

Bunton replied: “Wouldn’t that be amazing.”

Bunton said she had had a “crazy, crazy, mad weekend” following her reunion with Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm to discuss plans to mark the delayed 20th anniversary since the release of their debut single Wannabe.

The girls all shared pictures of themselves together for the first time in six years as they tucked into sushi and prosecco at Horner’s house.

Speaking about being back together, Bunton said: “We reminisced about the old times, we were talking about the kids, it was lovely.

“And then we all sat around Geri’s table and we got takeaway in, got sushi and some salads and drank tea and a little bit of prosecco, and it was just so lovely to see everyone. I loved it, really good fun.”

Bunton said they were catching up for so long that they ran out of time to put into place any concrete plans – but she did dispel any talk of a tour.

She said: “The main thing was that we sat together and have gone, ‘Right, there’s things, there’s opportunities here, are we all in?’ So exciting things to come.

“What that is yet, we need another kind of sit down, because we were chatting for hours and then we were like: ‘Oh we’ve got to pick the kids up! Quick!’”

She continued: “It was hilarious because I was there and obviously got pictured coming out, lots of paparazzi and then the next minute I’m sitting in a church hall in Barnet and I’m waiting for my sons. He got his little certificate for his disco dancing!”

Music manager Simon Fuller is said to be behind the venture which will reportedly involve a TV talent show, endorsement deals and a compilation album celebrating their greatest hits.
