Tom Hiddleston walks the Emmys red carpet alone after Taylor Swift split

Tom Hiddleston walked the red carpet alone at the Emmy Awards, following his split from girlfriend Taylor Swift.

The British actor, who was nominated for Best Actor for his role in The Night Manager, decided to face the cameras by himself at Sunday night’s ceremony.

While the reason for the couple’s break-up was reportedly a row over the awards, the British star seemed completely unfazed as he was joined by co-stars Olivia Colman and Hugh Laurie.

Although the 35-year-old didn’t pick up an acting award for the highly-praised BBC miniseries, he did take to the stage to present a prize.

Joined by Priyanka Chopraon on the podium, Hiddleston announced his Night Manager director Susanne Bier as the winner of the Director of Outstanding Limited Series of Movie.

Hiddleston and pop star Swift, who dated for just three months, are thought to have gone their separate ways following a ‘row’ about the Emmys.

According to reports, the romance ended after the pop star refused to walk the red carpet with Hiddleston at the major event.

“It was fun while it lasted, but Taylor has now had enough,” a source told The Sun.

“She doesn’t want a serious relationship and that’s where it was heading. It was all far too public, in the end. Tom freaked her out with his love of the limelight.”

A source close to the actor added: “He’s done his duty, so he thought it was only fair she repays the favour herself and is by Tom’s side at the Emmys.”
