Cheryl Fernandez-Versini shocked fans when she debuted her new 70s inspired crop for Comic Relief on Monday, but she looks to have undergone another drastic transformation.

The X Factor judge was sporting incredibly bushy black eyebrows, which she teamed with bright red spectacles, as she stopped by the Graham Norton show.

The 31-year-old singer had donned a funny face for the Comic Relief special to celebrate the charity's 30th anniversary.

She was joined on the red sofa by comedian David Walliams who joked that he had been rejected by Fernandez-Versini and her Girls Aloud bandmates.

Walliams – who is said to have split from his wife of five years Lara Stone – said: "When Girls Aloud came along I met Louis Walsh and asked him if any of the girls were single and he said he would ask.

"I thought he would do that discreetly, but he called a meeting of all of them and asked, 'Do any of you want to go out with David Walliams?' It was a No. And that was the end of that."

Also on the sofa was Absolutely Fabulous star Jennifer Saunders who was getting into the Red Nose Day spirit in a red dotted onesie.

Talking about whether there was competition in the The Great Comic Relief Bake Off kitchen final - which takes place on Friday Mach 13 - Saunders said: "No, but Lulu had never turned an oven on and Joanna Lumley had never cooked anything. I think I was the only one that had ever cooked before."

Comedian Johnny Vegas, who told Norton that he will be joining a One Direction tribute band called No Direction, and fellow funnyman Jack Dee were also on the sofa.

The Graham Norton Comic Relief Show is on BBC 1 at 10:35pm on Friday March 6.
