Happy family: Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling welcome baby daughter

Congratulations to Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling on the birth of their baby daughter.

The notoriously private lovebirds are said to have welcomed their new edition into the world on Friday, according to US Weekly.

We doubt the new tots name will be an easy feat to discover considering the pair – who met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines – never publicly announced the pregnancy news.

The Notebook heartthrob has always been open about how much he would like to become a dad.

In an interview he previously said: “ I’d like to be making babies but I’m not, so I’m making movies.

“When someone comes along, I don’t think I’ll be able to do both and I’m fine with that. I’ll make the movies until I make babies.”

Fans were quick to tweet the news with references to Ryan’s good looks and his character Noah from The Notebook.

One wrote: “The tears you heard were all the women hearing the news that Eva Mendes has given birth to Ryan Gosling's baby girl. Congrats! #Heygirl.”

Lots of Gosling fans feared the newborn would grow up with a complex from having such an attractive dad, “I feel bad for Ryan Gosling's daughter. She has to spend her whole entire life trying to not be attracted to her father.”
