Amir Khan has vowed to ditch his “bachelor” lifestyle and save his marriage, after being on I’m a Celebrity made him realise what’s “important” in life.

The champion boxer, 30, admitted that he’d “done wrong” in his marriage to Faryal Makhdoom during a candid conversation on Tuesday’s episode of the show.

Speaking about the couple’s recent split and reconciliation, Khan said that he wanted to stop “messing around” and spend more time with his wife and daughter.

“I used to live a young bachelor’s life but this has made me realise I need to live a family life,” he told Iain Lee in the jungle.

“I don't want to live that life, I have a good wife there. I need to spend more time with them.”

He added: “One thing I know is, being here is cleansing my body and cleansing my head. My mind as well. It makes you realise a lot of things, what you want in life.”

Amir Khan Asks If There Has Ever Been A Female PM

The boxer, who wed Faryal back in 2013, went on to say that he had not behaved well at various points in his marriage.

“I did wrong. I was messing around a lot, I don’t want to live that life. I had a good wife," he said.

The couple briefly split earlier this year after four years of marriage, but they were quick to reconcile just a few weeks later.

Khan has been mocked by viewers during his time in the jungle after he asked campmates whether or not there had ever been a female Prime Minister.
