'I'm not interested in casual sex', says Russell Brand as he announces tour of women's prisons

Russell Brand says he isn't interested in casual sex anymore and tries to be more "discerning" about who he sleeps with.

The 38-year-old former sex addict - who split from Katy Perry December 2011 after 14 months of marriage and divorced her in 2012 - revealed he now tries to be more "discerning" about who he sleeps with.

He told Absolute Radio's Christian O'Connell breakfast show: "I'm calming down a bit. I'm a bit less likely to just relentlessly hurl myself into a troth full of parts, you know, sex parts. Now I try and be a bit more discerning about what goes on."

Russell is planning to perform in women's prisons on his latest stand-up tour and joked he will only attend prisons with female inmates in case he gets locked up.

He joked: "Yeah, women's prisons. I have thought it through! Just in case, for a worst case scenario, where someone goes right you can't have that, just lock him up now, we won't even have a trial. I'll go, alright Beryl, I'll be in with you love. I'll be running that joint in a fortnight. Seen what people will do for a packet of fags, god know what they will put out for what I'm going to offer."
