Jane Horrocks and the cast of East is East celebrate at the after party for the opening night
The cast of East Is East were all smiles as they made their way to the after party following the opening night of the West End show.
Jane Horrocks posed for red carpet photos alongside her on screen husband Ayub Khan Din, who also wrote the play, before heading to the after party at One Whitehall Place.
Stars took to Twitter to heap praise on the Little Voice actress who plays Ella Khan in the stage play.
Former Emmerdale actress Verity Rushworth tweeted: “Fabulous evening watching East is East! @J_Horrocks was AMAZING!!! @lloydjamie @SamYates2020 @TrafTransformed #EastIsEast GO SEE!”
East is East opening night
The story follows Salford fish-and-chip shop owner George Khan [Ayub Khan Din] as he tries to instil Pakistani Muslim values in his children, but with an English mother and born and bred in Britain, his children start to reject their father’s values.
Director Sam Yates, was also in attendance alongside Taj Atwal who plays Meenah and actress Preeya Kalidas who starred in the 1999 film version of the play.
East is East is on now at Trafalgar Studios.
