Jennifer Lopez was involved in a minor car accident after a drunk driver collided with her brand new SUV on Saturday night.

The Jenny from the Block singer was out with her six-year-old twins and friend, Leah Remini when an alleged drunk driver rear ended her vehicle on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California.

Both parties got out of their vehicles to exchange details before the male driver jumped back into his small pickup truck and sped off.

Police were able to pull the driver over a short distance away and he was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and hit and run.

Thankfully no one was injured in the crash and the mum-of-two took to Instagram to let fans know that all was ok.

Alongside a photo of herself she wrote: "Sitting at a light, riding high right before some drunk fool rear ended us in my new whip!!! Thank god everyone ok!!! #GRATEFUL #THANKYOUGOD #DontdrinkandDrive!!!! #cursedthatfoolout #theBronxcameout #dontmesswithmycocnuts #mamabear #leahstayedcalm #thatwasweird."
