Kate Hudson and Reese Witherspoon among stars celebrating Matthew McConaughey at glittering American Cinematheque Award ceremony
Matthew McConaughey was honoured at the 2014 American Cinematheque Award ceremony.
The star-studded event, hosted at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California, celebrates a Hollywood great each year and it was McConaughey's turn to take the crown.
“He is the epitome of what a Hollywood star should be — an adventurous, joyous and ever-growing talent combined with matinee-idol looks and an unshakeable sense of who he is and what he stands for,” said Rick Nicita, American Cinematheque chairman.

The Oscar-winning actor was joined by his glamorous wife Camila Alves on the red carpet. Camilla dazzled in a Dolce & Gabbana dress while her husband sported a Dolce & Gabbana suit and Boucheron ring.
Other big names who attended included Kate Hudson, dressed in Jenny Peckham, Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Chastain.
Interstellar director Christopher Nolan was also pictured presenting Matthew with his award and was singing the 44-year-old actor's praises.
