Katy Perry delighted fans at the annual ARIA awards last night when she took the time to take selfies with fans – and even managed to photobomb friend Niall Horan’s selfie attempt.

The 30-year-old singer – who has been in Australia for her Prismatic world tour - was flashing her abs in a crystal encrusted crop top and sheer pencil skirt by Australian designer Jamie Lee Major.

Earlier in the evening the Dark Horse singer teased fans with a tweet suggesting she would be working the red carpet in a Twistie crisp costume, posting: “Peep my couture outfit fer tonight’s @ARIA_Official awards, a #TWISTIE (Oz’s cousin to the cheeto fyi).”

As expected, One Direction were met with a horde of screaming fans as they took to the red carpet looking dapper in black and white suits.

Fans reached over the barriers when Harry Styles made an appearance with his trademark long hair. One lucky fan managed to get a smiling selfie with Liam Payne, while Louis Tomlinson pulled a series of funny faces for his.

Also in attendance was Delta Goodrem who looked chic in a strapless floor length dress with sheer detail.

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea - who won Breakthrough Artist - was unable to attend so Charlie XCX, who sings with Iggy on hit song Fancy, took to the stage on her behalf saying: “I’m gonna drop it off to her and she’ll enjoy it.”
