Lady Gaga has hailed Mark Ronson as “foolishly amazing” after dropping her comeback single Perfect Illusion.

Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – worked with Ronson, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and Justin Bieber’s producer BloodPop on the new track which got its first play on The BBC Radio One Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw on Friday morning.

Speaking about the track, the Poker Face singer told Grimshaw: “It’s totally out of this world for me. I’m just so excited.”

“It’s really special on a personal level too between me and Mark and Bloodpop and Kevin. We were all on Facetime this morning and screaming and crying. It’s our baby. These guys are foolishly amazing at what they do.

“How cool that they inducted me into the boys club and treated me as an equal. I got to be obsessed with music with a bunch of guys that are like my brothers.”

Gaga said the first day of filming was emotional as she opened up about her personal experiences.

"The first day I was in the studio with Mark I cried the whole day," she said. "I was so overwhelmed with excitement. It was so overwhelming to have that love all day."

Gaga also praised “incredible” Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine fame who she duets with on her new album.

Speaking about her fellow artist she said: “I started to work on an idea for a song that I wanted to do with a girl, and you’ll see why when you hear the music.

She’s really, to me, if not the greatest vocalist in the world. She’s incredible.”

Fans sent Twitter into a frenzy over the new single which marks Gaga’s first pop single since Artpop in 2013.

The song title was soon trending on Twitter as some fans deemed it the ‘best thing they have ever heard’.
