Muse confirmed to headline Glastonbury Festival
Muse will play Glastonbury Festival, it has been confirmed.
The British trio will headline the iconic event on Friday, June 24.
It will mark their third headline performance at the annual Worthy Farm festival.
The band announced the news on their official Twitter account with a 30 second video.
The clip shows highlights from their 2004 and 2010 headline sets before the words "Friday night, 2016" appear to their track Psycho.
They captioned the clip: “Playing a little show at home…”

The official Festival account later retweeted the post.
The news comes weeks after Coldplay were announced as Sunday night headliners.
Jeff Lynne and the Electric Light Orchestra will play the Sunday legends slot while PJ Harvey will return to the festival for the first time in over a decade.
Other rumoured names to join the line-up, which will be released later this year, include Adele and The Stone Roses.
Festival organiser Michael Eavis ruled out Foo Fighters as headliners. Speaking to Metro at the NME Awards he said: "Foo Fighters won’t be headlining this year, we’ve got three fantastic headliners but they aren’t one of them."
Glastonbury 2016 will take place at Worthy Farm over the weeked of June 22-26.
