Olly Murs and Paddy McGuinness prank ‘new boy’ Louis Tomlinson ahead of Soccer Aid debut
Louis Tomlinson no longer has the support of his One Direction band mates – and his Soccer Aid team mates made sure to take advantage of it.
The singer, 24, fell victim to a prank played by Paddy McGuinness who panicked him into thinking he was about to get scolded with hot tea.
In a video shared by Olly Murs, Tomlinson can be seen sitting at the back of a coach as McGuinness walks down the aisle with three cups of ‘tea’ before lurching forward and ‘spilling’ the contents onto the singer.
The Take Me Out host can be heard shouting “what the f***” as a panicked Tomlinson jumps up before John Bishop and Jack Whitehall crowd around him chanting “the new boy”.
Clearly embarrassed Tomlinson says: “You all knew as well. You all knew. Alright lads.”
Murs shared the video alongside the caption: “The new lad @Louis_Tomlinson wanted a cuppa?! #Welcometotheteam #SoccerAid #England #TeamBanter.”
Tomlinson will play for England alongside McGuinness, Murs, Whitehall, Bishop and stars including Jonathan Wilkes, Robbie Williams, Danny Murphy, Ben Shephard, Mark Wright and Marvin Humes at the match at Old Trafford on June 5.
He will be pitted against his former band mate Niall Horan who is playing alongside Michael Sheen, Iwan Rheon, AP McCoy, Sean Fletcher, Patrick Kielty, Nicky Byrne, Sergio Pizzorno, Matthew Morrison, Shayne Ward, Rickie Haywood-Williams and Thom Evans for the Rest Of The World.
The British charity event has raised £17m for UNICEF UK in its 10 year history.
Brazilian football legend Pele will be the guest of honour at this year's event.
