The LA premiere of Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 has been ‘scaled back’ following the Paris terror attacks.

Two hours of red carpet interviews with cast including Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth have been cancelled ‘out of respect’.

Ahead of Monday night’s event, film studio Lionsgate released a statement, which read:

“Out of respect for the very recent events in Paris, we have decided to modify our red carpet and we will not conduct interviews at Monday’s Mockingjay 2 premiere.

“We will proceed with the rest of the event as planned in honor of the incredible fans who have always supported our films with such passion."

The cast of the film are expected to greet fans and sign autographs as planned but will not speak to any press.

Cast and crew were in Paris on November 9 as part of the film’s European promo tour and a few scenes were shot in the city.

A number of musicians and bands have cancelled their European tours after Friday’s tragedy, which saw at least 132 people killed in a series of coordinated terror attacks.

Prince, US and Foo Fighters have all pulled out of planned concerts.
