Rebecca Adlington was glowing as she posed for photos on the red carpet for the Sports Personality of the Year Awards in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday night.

Adlington, 25, showed off her growing baby bump in a glittering white Zeynap Kartal dress which she teamed with a pair of white strappy heels.

The Olympic gold medallist – who announced her pregnancy at the end of November - cradled her bump as she posed for photos on the red carpet.

Also in attendance was King of the jungle Carl ‘Foggy’ Fogarty who swapped his camping clothes and jungle crown for a smart blue suit and waistcoat as he posed for photos with his wife Michaela.

Lewis Hamilton – who won the coveted Sports Personality of the Year Award – was accompanied by his dog Roscoe.

The Formula One racer – who is dating Cats actress Nicole Scherzinger – said he was “speechless” when told that he had won over golfer Rory McIlroy.

On collecting the award he said: "I was sitting there saying Rory's going to have it. I thought it had to be someone else.

"I want to say a huge thank you to all the people who called in, I really wasn't expecting it.

"I am so speechless. I'm so proud and honoured to be among such great sporting talent."

Prince Harry was in attendance to present the Helen Rollason Award to Lt David Henson on behalf of the 43 competitors who took part in the Invictus Games.

Olympic diver Tom Daley, and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Judy Murray were also at the event.
