A host of fresh faces are set to burst onto the scene this year in the world of showbiz.

While some have only just dipped their toe in the water, others have risen through the ranks of famous families to become stars in their own right.

From up-and-coming acting talent to the newest IT-girls in the making, this is the talent set to make it big this year.

Here’s our list of who to watch out for in 2017:

1. Sasha Lane

Spotted sunbathing on a beach by Andrea Arnold, Sasha Lane suddenly found herself thrust into the limelight at the end of 2016 after the British director cast her in her film American Honey, opposite Shia LaBeouf.

Next year looks set to make the 21-year-old actress a household name as the she’s already signed up to star in The Miseducation of Cameron Post opposite Chloe Moritz as well as taking the lead role in Paul J. Franklin’s Hunting Lila.

2. Billy Howle

The 26-year-old British actor was a relatively unknown face when he appeared in Agatha Christie adaptation Witness for the Prosecution at Christmas.

But Billy Howle is about to break onto the silver screen in a big way in 2017 thanks to his role in forthcoming film The Sense of an Ending, adapted from Julian Barnes’ Booker Prize-winning novel.

He will also star opposite Oscar-nominated Saoirse Ronan in the eagerly-awaited On Chesil Beach.

3. Ellie Bamber

Born in Surrey, the 19-year-old actress was spotted by Sir Trevor Nunn at the tender age of 13, when she was cast in his production of Aspects of Love at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

After a number of theatre and TV roles, and a part in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Ellie Bamber landed her big break in Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals this year.

2017 looks set to be her biggest yet as she’s just been cast in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, opposite Keira Knightley and Helen Mirren.

4. Lottie Moss

Kate Moss ruled the fashion and party scenes in the 1990s and 2000s, but her little sister Lottie looks set to usurp her.

The 18-year-old took her first big step out into the spotlight last year, hitting high profile parties, dating a Made in Chelsea star and landing herself a number of modelling campaigns.

Lottie seems poised to be one of the most talked about stars of 2017.

5. Yara Shahidi

Actress and model Yara Shahidi might only be 16-year-old but she’s already making some serious waves in the US, which are starting to ripple over to the UK.

The teenage star rose to fame last year playing Zoey in the hit show Black-ish as well as signing up with New York’s Women Management modeling agency.

She is also a young activist, and won a Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network award last year.

6. Patrick Gibson

The Irish actor was a relative unknown until he landed a role in much-talked about new Netlfix drama The OA, which launched at the end of 2016.

While the mysterious new show has made Gibson a recognisable face, he’s about to become big in 2017.

The actor has landed a role opposite Idris Elba in Sky Atlantic’s Guerrilla as well as in The White Princess.

He is also starring in big screen offering Their Finest, opposite Gemma Arterton and Bill Nighy.

7. Iris Law

With genes like hers it’s no surprise that Iris Law is about to hit the big time.

The daughter of Jude Law and Sadie Frost has been in the limelight all her life, but now she’s striking out on her own.

The 16-year-old, who already has 42,000 followers on Instagram, is reportedly set to sign a huge contract with Chanel as her modelling career gets underway.

8. Matilda Ramsay

She might only be 14 years old, but Matilda Ramsay is already becoming a well known name in her own right.

The daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is set for big things after being nominated for a Children’s BAFTA this year for her cookery show Matilda And The Ramsay Bunch.

She’s also just signed a major book deal with Hodder & Stoughton. Watch out, Gordon!

9. Anya Taylor-Joy

The 20-year-old American-born Argentine-British actress was the breakout star of 2016’s most unnerving horror film The Witch.

She went on to star in thriller Morgan and Netflix’s Barack Obama biopic Barry later in the year.

This year is about to be an ever bigger one for Anya Taylor-Joy as she’s landed leading roles in Sergio G. Sánchez’s Marrowbone and Thoroughbred, which will debut at the Sundance Film Festival later this month.

10. Levi Dylan

Levi Dylan is not following in the footsteps of his famous grandfather, Bob, and breaking into the world of music. Instead, the 22-year-old is exploring acting and modelling.

He has already been signed by Wilhelmina and had shoots in Teen Vogue and Wonderland and is in the process of launching his acting career. Watch this space.
